What this session covers
- A standard only sticks if it's easier to follow than to route around — friction is what actually kills adopted-in-theory standards.
- Write the standard down where people already work (the deploy tool, the template repo), not in a document nobody opens mid-task.
- Introduce a new standard with a real migration path for existing work, not a mandate that makes everyone's current state suddenly 'wrong.'
- Revisit standards on a cadence — a standard that made sense two years ago against today's tooling is a common source of quiet resentment.
