Mid-Level (3–6 years) · Module A
Managing Multiple Customers in Parallel Without Dropping Balls
The system that replaces 'just remember everything' once you have more than one active engagement.
What this session covers
- Triage by business impact and deadline proximity, not by who emailed most recently or most loudly — recency and volume aren't the same as urgency.
- Keep a single source of truth per customer (not scattered across email, Slack, and memory) — you will not reliably recall which customer said what.
- Block dedicated time per customer rather than context-switching all day — the cost of switching is higher than it feels in the moment.
- Tell customers proactively when their priority shifts due to something else — silence when you're deprioritizing them damages trust more than the deprioritization itself.
What mid-level FDE interviews look for
Mid-level candidates are expected to own integrations end to end: estimate timelines they can hit, make build-vs-configure calls, run postmortems, negotiate scope and lead a customer engagement without formal authority.
